Coleslaw – a raw cabbage salad - is probably the most popular salad in the world. However, I believe there is something special in the Polish version… It’s lighter, less creamy, spicier, and goes perfectly as a light side with main, rich dishes.
Prep time: 15 minutes, easy
Awaiting time: 20 minutes

Serves: 6
Ingredients:
1 small cabbage or half of a larger one
1 small carrot
Half of onion
1 small apple
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly grinded black pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
Method:
1. Shred cabbage and onion into small pieces, grate apple and carrot. Put them all together into a mixing bowl.
2. In a smaller bowl, mix oil, vinegar, salt, black pepper and sugar.
3. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and mix.
4. Put on a side for about 15-20 minutes so the cabbage gets softer and soak the flavour.
